Founded by our namesake, and highly-qualified licensed plumber Alex alongside his wife Lauren a decade ago, we’ve been in the business long enough to know the importance of a job done right, the first time, on time.
With our home base in Brisbane's north, we’ve helped thousands of homes and businesses across Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast with plumbing and gas emergency, maintenance, and installation needs.
We love your toilets and hot showers as much as you do! Over the course of our life, we spend over a year and a half locked in the bathroom!

Meet the team
Alex Macpherson
Founder and Head Plumber, Al’s Plumbing and Gas
Al, our namesake, founder and head plumber, is our chief problem solver and Mr Efficient.
As a highly qualified plumber, and former member of the Australian Defence Force – he brings his fast, on-time, no-fuss approach to work to get the job done quick smart to the highest quality standard.
And as a dad to three kids under six, he’s seen and fixed it all – especially the fun little people can do blocking a toilet.
Alex’s direct approach to fixing issues, as quickly and as efficiently as possible means you can get back to what’s important to you. In fact, he’ll even talk you through a simple job if it’s one you can fix over the phone!

Lauren Daley
Operations Manager and Al’s better half
Lauren is Al’s better half. She runs the business side of things and her passion is connecting customers with the team to get the best solution.
As a former events coordinator she’s a stickler for working through the efficient logistical needs of the business!
And this super mum to three under six particularly loves helping families deal with the unpleasant plumbing joys kids can bring. She is passionate about providing honest quality service to our customers and she’s even here to help you understand all the tradie lingo too!
And plumbing just happens to be in her blood, with her grandfather a plumber and her father owning a tap manufacturing and plumbing business throughout the 80 and 90s. So there’s nothing she hasn’t seen or heard about the industry!
Teremoana
Licensed plumber and competitive boxer
Teremoana or Mr T has been part of our team from the beginning and is well and truly part of the family! Starting as an apprentice with Al’s Plumbing, he’s now our Head Plumber.
Originally from the Cook Islands and a personal goal to one day be a professional boxer, he’s our gentle giant and knows the ins and outs of all our clients at Al’s Plumbing.
He’s Alex’s go-to man for getting things done - on time and on budget!
But along with being efficient, he’s your super source of calm - perfect for when you’re deep in hot water. He’s the clear head and hands for fixing the job.
We love him so much, we’re keeping it in his family too! We’ve just employed his younger brother as a school based apprentice.
